Have you ever taken a virtual cruise through downtown St. Cloud on Google Maps? Listen, before you judge me, realize that I've got nothing better to do because of the pandemic...or at least that's the excuse I'm using.

I noticed something interesting though. There are a few sections of the city that are blurred out completely...why? Google usually does blur things like license plates, faces, etc. but not whole portions of buildings.

You can see in the top photo, there's a whole section of a building on West St. Germain Street that's completely blurred.

The second photo is at U.S. Bank in downtown St. Cloud. What's interesting is, a portion of the building is blurred--but, cars in the drive thru area aren't completely covered. What's the deal, Google?

At first, I thought, 'well, maybe they just always blur out banks?' But, I looked up Capital One and it wasn't blurred.

Then, I thought, well, maybe they only blur out banks with a drive-thru option. So, I looked up the Wells Fargo drive thru. And, you guessed it...it's not blurred.

Are these blurred out areas a glitch or are they trying to hide something? Perhaps they caught someone on camera doing something bad...perhaps a love affair, or maybe a scandal? Probably not, but maybe. See...I really have had way too much time on my hands. But, it's interesting and I want to know what the deal is.

It just makes you wonder what in the world is Google hiding?
