Wetterling’s Post Community Thank You Video [VIDEO]

ST. JOSEPH -- With all the love and support given after the truth of Jacob Wetterling's disappearance, Patty and Jerry Wetterling are reaching out the community to say thank you.

The Jacob Wetterling Resource Center released a video Tuesday afternoon sharing the family's thoughts from the tragic news that broke last month.

"We have been strengthened by the love and support of so many in our search for Jacob. The finality of his death has been so hard for us to process." --Patty Wetterling

Jacob Wetterling’s remains were recovered from a field near Paynesville last month. Danny Heinrich confessed to his kidnapping, sexual assault and murder in court.

A memorial service was held at the College of St. Benedict, at the end of September, to honor Jacob.

Jacob Wetterling was abducted October 22, 1989 in St. Joseph. Governor Mark Dayton has declared October 22 as "Jacob Wetterling Day."
