I was picking up a birthday card at the Dollar Tree in Sartell on Saturday when all of a sudden, the clerk asks, 'is there a parade going on today?'

'Not that I know of', I answered.

I walked outside and quickly realized, yes, in fact, there was a large parade going on. It was a Patriotic Trump/Truck Rally. There have been a few of them scheduled over the last several weeks. Naturally, I grabbed my phone and took some video because there were so many people and most of the vehicles were completely decked out.

The latest rally was organized by Derick Vaughn and Jim Kiley on Facebook. The group met up at Rollies and rolled through Sauk Rapids, Sartell and a few surrounding communities before heading back to Rollies.

Their Facebook event page states, "Bring your vehicles decked out just like we did with the boats. When the tour is over we’ll end up back at Rollie’s and get to know more people that share our values!"

It's hard to say how many people participated in the parade. I stood outside for about 5 minutes and the cars kept coming. I got into my vehicle and tried to leave the parking lot and had to wait additional time. There was finally a break in the lineup (guessing a red light) so I sneaked out of the parking lot and went home. According to the Facebook event page, there were over 1,000 people interested in attending.

If you missed this event and want to participate in the next one, another rally is scheduled to take place on Division Street in October.
