Vikings Remain Unbeaten with Win at Carolina
The Minnesota Vikings (3-0) beat the Carolina Panthers (1-2) 22-10 on the road today in Charlotte. While the Vikings defense controlled Carolina through the afternoon, Minnesota's offense didn't come to life until the second half.
After trailing 10-0, the Vikings responded by scoring 22 unanswered points. Marcus Scherels sparked the Minnesota comeback with a 54-yard punt return for a touchdown in the second quarter.
The Vikings sacked Cam Newton eight times (one for a safety) and picked him off three times.
Sam Bradford finished the day completing 18 of 28 for 211 yards and a touchdown toss to Kyle Rudolph, the leading receiver who had 7 catches for 70 yards. Jerick McKinnon was Minnesota's leading rusher carrying 16 times for 45 yards. Oh, and Blair Walsh missed another extra point.
Next up for the Vikes: Monday Night Football (10/3) vs. the New York Giants at U.S. Bank Stadium.
