Late last week, the NFL released the seventeen week 2020 schedule. Yesterday the Minnesota Vikings unveiled their preseason schedule.

The NFL is planning on kicking off a full seventeen week schedule in early September, with the Vikings opening the regular season on Sunday, September 13th at U.S. Bank Stadium against the Green Bay Packers. Whether or not there will be fans in the seats remains to be seen.

The league also understands there's a large amount of uncertainty surrounding the current pandemic, and has several contingency plans if things need to change.

  • Week 2: @ Cincinnati (August 20-24)
  • Week 3: @ Cleveland (August 30, 3:00 PM)
  • Week 4: vs. Seattle (September 3-4)

The league's regular season is set to open on Thursday, September 10th with the Houston Texans visiting the Kansas City Chiefs for Thursday Night Football on NBC.

The NFL has cancelled all of the international games on the 2020 schedule.
