Vikings Fans Have To Love Jared Allen: ‘Who Sucks Right Now? The Jets?’
If you are a Minnesota Vikings fan, chances are you are familiar with former defensive standout Jared Allen. He has always been one of the most vocal AND funny guys in the locker room, and he seems to be the same guy even in retirement. Jared Allen, who was most recently selected to the NFL Hall of Fame, talked to the Minnesota media, and during that moment of speaking to the media here, he roasted the New York Jets. Check it out.
Jared Allen, who was a part of some PRETTY good Minnesota VIkings teams (see the Brett Favre 2009 season), was talking about coming close to the Super Bowl in his career a few times, and that's when he went nuclear on the Jets, all with a smile on his face. Watch this!
Allen says he would rather be close to winning a Super Bowl than be with a team that sucks, and then he asked aloud which NFL sucks right now, then said the Jets and continued to dog them, even going so far as to say he was surprised someone took the coaching job. (The Jets' Head Coach is Aaron Glenn, the former D Coordinator with Detroit.)
Come on, try and tell me you don't love this guy!
While it wasn't Jared's humor that got him selected into Canton, his ability to play football at a high level did.
Throughout Jared Allen's career, he played in 187 games, accumulating 136 sacks, 503 solo tackles, and 32 forced fumbles while playing for 4 teams: the Kansas City Chiefs, Minnesota Vikings, Chicago Bears, and the Carolina Panthers.
The 2025 Pro Football Hall of Fame Enshrinement is on Saturday, August 2nd, at noon. Joining Jared in the 2025 Hall of Fame class are:
