Vikings Fall to Rams 38-31 Thursday Night in LA
The Minnesota Vikings (1-2-1) came up short in a west coast shootout, falling the the Los Angeles Rams (4-0) 38-31 Thursday Night at the LA Coliseum.
Once known as one of the best defenses in the league, the Vikings squad gave up five passing touchdowns by Rams quarterback Jared Goff. Goff completed 26 of 33 for 465 yards. The Rams racked up 556 total yards on the night.
Kirk Cousins completed 36 of 50 attempts for 422 yards and three touchdowns -- two to Aldrick Robinson and one to Adam Thielen.
Cousins was also Minnesota's leading rusher with 28 yards. Dalvin Cook carried the ball 10 times for 20 yards. Thielen was the leading receiver with 8 catches for 123 yards.
Newly acquired kicker Dan Bailey was 3 for 3 on field goal attempts, and 2 for 2 on extra points.
