UPDATE: MN Man Gets Billboard and GoFundMe Money Goes to Charity

Last week there as a story going around about a Minnesota man, Derek Camitsch, who wanted to put up his own billboard in the Twin Cities, similar to the Kris Lindahl Real Estate billboards across the area. The goal was to raise $1000 on GoFundMe for the silly billboard, but there has been a change in events.

Kris Lindahl heard about the online campaign, wanted to make Derek's dreams come true. Kris donated a billboard to him, in exchange for Derek donating all the GoFundMe donations to People Serving People, an organization that helps homeless families find housing.

The billboards with Derek's arms will be running a minimum of three weeks, and Derek is leaving the GoFundMe open until they are taken down in order to raise as much money as possible for the charity.

The billboard is located at E Hennepin Ave and SE 9th St/Harrison St NE, and if you are interested in donating to this cause, the GoFundMe is live and you can follow it for further updates.
