The Minnesota Twins (70-81) beat the Tigers for the second straight night, topping Detroit 5-3 Tuesday night at Comerica Park.

Minnesota's Jake Odorizzi and Detroit's Daniel Norris both had pitched shutouts through the first five innings, before the bats of both teams finally came alive.

The Twins scored three in the sixth inning, and two more in the seventh for a 5-0 lead. Detroit would rally for two of their own in the seventh, and one in the bottom of the ninth -- and that's where things would end.

Minnesota's Chris Gimenez went 2 for 4 with a home run. Tyler Austin was 2 for 4 with a double and 3 RBI. Odorizzi pitched 6 & 1/3 innings, giving up 2 runs on 4 hits, a walk, and 6 strikeouts.
