Six-time all star Joe Mauer will have his #7 jersey retired at Target Field on Saturday, June 15th when the Minnesota Twins host the Kansas City Royals.

Mauer will join seven other former Twins who have had their number retired. The first 20,000 fans on June 15th will receive a special #7 baseball cap.

Mauer was the first player picked in the 2001 draft, and spent 15 season in the majors with the Twins. He was named the Major League MVP in 2009.

The team has also announced that July 19, August 24, and September 7 will be Joe Mauer bobble head giveaway games.
