Twins End Season with 5-4 Win Over White Sox

The Minnesota Twins (78-84) ended their season with a six game winning streak by beating the Chicago White Sox 5-4 Sunday afternoon at Target Field.

The White Sox got on the board early, scoring two runs in the top of the first inning, taking that 2-0 lead into the fourth -- when Minnesota's Jake cave homered, and Logan Forsythe hit a two run single giving the Twins a 3-2 lead.

Max Kepler hit his 20th home run of the season -- a two run shot in the sixth -- increasing Minnesota's lead to 5-2. Chicago would add two in the seventh inning, but it was not enough to top the Twins.

With a one run lead in the ninth inning, the Twins made an emotional change at catcher, as Joe Mauer came out to take over at the position that he played for so many years with the team for one pitch from Matt Belisle. Many feel Sunday was Mauer's last day as a Twin.
