INGREDIENTS

  • 6 Ounces thin sliced sirloin steaks
  • 1/8 teaspoon salt
  • black pepper to taste
  • cooking spray
  • 1 large diced onion
  • 1 large diced green pepper
  • 1/4 cup sour cream or light sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons of mayo
  • 2 ounces of cream cheese
  • 3 ounces shredded provolone cheese, or whatever you want
  • 4 large portobello mushrooms

DIRECTIONS

Heat grill or preheat oven to 400.

Gently remove the stem from the mushroom. Scoop out the gills into a bowl, and spray the tops of the mushrooms with cooking spray, and season with salt and pepper.

Season steak and grill. Transfer to a cutting board and slice into thin pieces. Set aside.

Saute onions and peppers on the stove, or put in tinfoil before you grill the steaks and place on the grill til they are softened.

Once the steaks are cut into pieces, and the onions and peppers are softened, combine the steak and veggies in a bowl. with the scooped out gills of the mushrooms, and mix it all up.

Place the mixture into the scooped out mushrooms. Sprinkle each with the provolone cheese, and proceed to bake in the oven for 20 minutes or place back in the grill on the upper grill until mushrooms are tender.

One mushroom is about 300 calories, with 10 carbs, 19 grams protein, and 3.5 grams of sugar.
