The Minnesota Timberwolves (44-34) were routed by the visiting Utah Jazz (44-33) 121-97 in a pivotal late season game between Western Conference playoff hopefuls.

Even with the loss, the Wolves are in a semi-comfortable spot; sitting in 7th place in the conference -- a half game behind 6th place Utah and a half game ahead of 8th place New Orleans. More importantly, Minnesota is two full games ahead of 9th place Denver. (The top eight teams advance to the playoffs.) But...

...but, two of the T-Wolves final four games are against the Nuggets, so there are absolutely no post-season guarantees at this point.
