The Minnesota Timberwolves (7-11) lost to the visiting Denver Nuggets 103-101 Wednesday night at the Target Center in Minneapolis.

The Timberwolves had a strong first half, leading 56-50 at the break -- but a woeful third quarter by the Wolves made a win nearly impossible, yet it ended up being close in the end.

Karl Anthony-Towns led Minnesota in scoring Wednesday night with 22 points, 7 rebounds, and 2 assists. Derrick Rose added 20, and Robert Covington scored 16.

Paul Millsap led the Nuggets with 25 points.

Next: The Timberwolves visit the Brooklyn Nets Friday morning (11/22) at 11:00 AM CT at the Barclays Center. (TV: Fox Sports North, Radio: 1240 WJON)
