This Family Friendly Craft Soda Taproom is an Hour From St. Cloud

Craft beer and cider taprooms are all the rage, but why not involve the whole family and visit this unique craft soda tap room an hour from St. Cloud.

Northern Soda Company is located in Arden Hills, Minnesota. It was formed in 2018 by a group of Twin Cities educators who are passionate about creating craft sodas that remind customers of the way soda used to be. They are all about creating a fun and positive place for families to hang out.

At their taproom you can mix and match your own soda 4-pack, fill a growler with one of their small batch rotating sodas, try free samples, and even see how soda is created and canned. This would be a great day trip for the whole family over an upcoming holiday break.

Their current selection includes some fun Minnesota themed flavors like "Pontoon Punch", "Minnesota Apple", "Due North" (old fashioned lemon lime), "North Coast Cooler" and "Sunday Purple".

I tried Northern Soda's root beer while at Pantown Brewery recently and fell in love. I'm not usually a pop drinker, (for reference it takes me about two hours to finish a can of Coke) but this root beer was gone in about 15 minutes. It was the best root beer I ever had. It might have something to do with it being made in Minnesota, but that could just be my love for this state talking. I haven't tried any of their other flavors, but a trip to this tap room might be in the cards for me.
