This is too funny!

Yahoo! Travel recently published a list of the funniest, and possibly the most annoying, slang words/phrases from each state. There are some good ones for sure!

Since it's so hot in Arizona, you need to get yourself a swamp cooler a.k.a. an air conditioner.  I have to admit I like that one -- I can't wait to put my swamp cooler in for the summer!

If you frequently use the term 'tree hugger,' don't in Oregon.  They're much more sophisticated and use the term 'granola' instead.  It all means the same thing -- I don't see myself changing this one up.

Wisconsin uses phrases such as 'upside right.'  I have never heard that before and I have some friends from across the border.  I do like their term for a drinking fountain -- bubbler -- it sounds so much classier.

Here in Minnesota we use the word ish (you betcha, with pride!) to describe something nasty.  The rest of the country adds it to the end of words for the 'sort of' meaning.  We also use the word 'uff da' and no one seems to know what it means.  It's just one of those phrases (or maybe more like a grunt) that you only get if you're from Minnesota.

Check out the full list here.  I'm not feeling 'granola' from Oregon, it sounds really strange. Is there a slang word or phrase that just really irritates you?
