Taylor Swift made her big screen debut in the film 'Valentines Day' back in 2010. Now she has reportedly auditioned for her second movie role, and she has some pretty big competition.

The movie is 'Les Miserables'. It's Tom Hooper's screen adaptation of the hit stage show which is based on the book by Victor Hugo. Huge stars such as Hugh Jackman, Anne Hathaway, Russell Crowe, Helena Bonham Carter, and Geoffrey Rush have already signed on to the project. But there are a handful of stars competing for the role of Eponine.

Including Taylor Swift who has already auditioned according to reports. Also in the mix is 'Glee' star Leah Michele, who may have a bit of an edge considering she made her Broadway debut in 'Les Miserables' back in 1995. Scarlett Johansson and Evan Rachel Wood have also reportedly auditioned.

The plan is to start shooting early next year for release in December 2012.

I like Taylor Swift, I really do, but honestly, I don't think she stands a chance next to the other veteran actresses that are up for the role. Those girls have been doing movies, television, and stage shows for years. I highly doubt the director is going to give some newbie like Taylor Swift a shot at such an iconic role in a classic story. But hey, good for her for trying, and maybe I'll be wrong...but probably not.
