We're in the heart of the fall prep sports season, and on Friday night, cities large and small across Minnesota will see the community gather under the bright lights at football fields. Not only rooting for their team, but they are also often coming together as a community. One local community is looking for a little help in their quest to secure up to a million dollars in an online contest.

Top-25 Schools Announced For T-Mobile's Friday Night 5G Lights

T-Mobile has been running a contest for the last few years where towns of 150,000 residents or less can sign up for a chance to win money to go towards their football fields. 450 schools this year won a $5,000 prize, including Albany High School.

But schools were really hoping to be selected into the top-25 schools across the country through the online campaign. If a school made the top-25, they were in the running for a million-dollar top prize, which includes "a football field upgrade, a consult with a stadium experience expert, a weight room upgrade by Gronk Fitness, and much more."

Royalton High School Made The Top-25

Yesterday, T-Mobile announced the top-25 schools across the nation that were in the running for the grand prize, and Royalton made it!

So what's next? It's our time to take the handoff from Royalton and vote daily for the school. How do you do that? You can head here daily and vote for Royalton.

Each Friday, the week's worth of votes will be counted up and posted online, and right now, Royalton is sitting in 13th place.

Royalton Has Already Won $25,000 For Making The Final 25

So far, Royalton has won $25,000 towards its football field, and with whatever money they win, the school is going to use it to honor a former coach.

Once known for dead grass and a dirt track, the Royals’ field was improved and kept up through the tireless dedication of alum and coach Nick Lanners. After his tragic passing, winning a stadium upgrade would allow Royalton to honor his legacy with new bleachers, a modern scoreboard and a lasting tribute, creating an experience worthy of Central Minnesota pride.

Beautiful Photos From Clemens Gardens

This weekend was a great one to get out and do something fun. I wanted to destress, so I drove over to Clemens Gardens for a nice stroll through the gardens. What a beautiful place it is. There are flowers everywhere, as well as fountains and statues. These photos only capture part of what's available to see, but in case you haven't had a chance to visit, now is a great time to view them, as everything is in full bloom. Take a look at some beautiful photos and then make a plan to take your own trip. All of your senses will thank you.
