Spend the Night in a Renovated Train Car Just 90 Minutes from St. Cloud
The great thing about Minnesota is that there is no shortage of fun things to see and unique places to stay.
The Whistle Stop Bed and Breakfast is located just under two hours from the St. Cloud area, and allows you to stay the night in a renovated train car.:
Whether staying in the house, built in 1903, or in one of the authentic railroad cars, whether a railroad buff, a lover of antiques or just someone who enjoys the unusual, this place is for you.
You can choose to stay in one of four themed cars:
The Viking Car - Previously the Trolley Diner in Deerwood until 2006, used by the Forestry Service.
Palace Car - Built in 1909 as a club dining car, used by the Northern Pacific R.R. until the 1960's.
Imperial Car - Built in 1903 as a Day Coach it originally had 80 seats and served on the
North Coast Limited between Minnesota and the state of Washington.
Cozy Caboose - This gem is the oldest railroad car in our collection. It was built in 1893
according to documentation provided by a SOO Line historian.
Not into sleeping in glamorous train cars? They also have three rooms for rent in the 1903 pristine Victorian-style home on the property. There is also a large cottage to rent out called the Alaskan Cottage that gives you all the amenities one would need for a relaxing vacation.
This would be a really fun fall getaway, especially if you're into unique experiences. To check out more information and see inside the train cars visit the Whistle Stop Bed & Breakfast website.
