Some Of My Best Summer Vacations Were In The Brainerd Area

I'm hearing all kinds of hype about the kids going back to school, which tells me summer is making its exit.  

Summers were great as a kid, you didn't have to go to school or even get up early.  It was all about play time and maybe even a summer vacation to somewhere fun.  When I was younger, I would go spend time with my Grandma.  I wouldn't trade that time for anything in the world.

My favorite actual vacations were our trips to the Brainerd area.  My dad's sister had a cabin up there and it would make for great day trips.  We'd go shopping, fishing, to Paul Bunyan Land.  It was awesome!
