Reports of tornadoes, hail, high winds, and heavy rain popped up across Central Minnesota late this afternoon and this evening, prompting Tornado & Severe Thunderstorm Warnings in Sterns, Pope, Todd, and Morrison Counties.

At 3:10 this afternoon law enforcement radioed in a tornado near Villard in Pope County, with reports of boats flipped and roof shingle damage near Amelia Lake.

Hail damage was reported near Long Prairie, with heavy rain and flooding an issue in Round Prairie. A funnel cloud was reported at 3:25 in West Union northwest of Sauk Centre.

An unsettled weather pattern will continue through the Memorial Day weekend, with a continued threat of severe weather on the radar.
