Royalton, Buckman, And Onamia Welcome Sweet Corn Stands
Are you ready for some sweet corn? A local grower announced yesterday afternoon that they would be opening up their three stands to sell sweet corn starting TODAY. Janson's Sweet Corn let everyone know that they would be opening two stands this morning and a third by this afternoon for anyone looking for some locally grown sweet corn. Here is where you can find those stands!
3 Different Locations For You To Pick Up Your Sweet Corn
Janson's Sweet Corn has three locations this year, which they will be running until they run out of sweet corn. Those locations are:
Royalton
Buckman
Onamia
Janson's Sweet Corn posted about the opening times and the general location of the sweet corn stands.
GREAT NEWS!!! Tomorrow (Tuesday, July 29th) we will begin our sweet corn stands for this season!!!! We will be open in Royalton by the DQ and in Buckman and also at the Vets Club near Onamia. We hope to be at the stands by 9:30 in Royalton and Buckman, and be at the Vets Club by 11. Can’t wait to see you there!
A Sign That Summer Is Here, But Also That We Are Running Out Of Time
Seeing sweet corn stands opening up is a sure sign we are in the summer months here in Central Minnesota, but it's also bittersweet, as we know if we are seeing sweet corn stands opening, it means the Minnesota State Fair is right around the corner, signalling the end of our summers.
Save Your Sweet Corn?
Some people will buy up a large amount of ears and then have big family boils, where they will then freeze the corn after it has been boiled briefly, so they can enjoy that treat year-round.

Other people I know don't bother trying to save it in the freezer rather, they live in the moment and enjoy it when they find it during the next several weeks, but when it's gone, they will patiently wait until next year.
