Sauk Rapids-Rice High School Plans First-Ever Virtual Prom

Sauk Rapids-Rice High School will still be holding a prom for their seniors this year despite the COVID-19 pandemic. However, things will be very different for the junior and senior class.

Instead of gathering together in one room for a giant party, prom will be held virtually on the radio for the first time ever.

Sauk Rapids Rice High School’s Virtual Prom 2020: A Starry Night, can be heard live on our sister station Mix 94.9 this Saturday from 8 p.m. to 10 pm.

The community is invited to join in on the fun for two hours of commercial free music as Sauk Rapids-Rice High School honors the senior class of 2020. Mix 94.9 will be opening up their playlist and taking song request throughout the event.

There will be a virtual grand march online. Local Minnesota celebrities as well as Sauk Rapids-Rice faculty and staff will be checking in throughout the evening to send well wishes to the seniors on one of high school's biggest nights.
