UNDATED -- A Stearns County resident has been confirmed to have tested positive for COVID-19.

Stearns County Public Health has been notified by the Department of Health of a presumptive positive case of the virus. The resident has recently traveled, therefore, this is considered a travel related illness.

The individual is in isolation at home and doing well.

A news conference will be held at 3:00 p.m. inside the Stearns County Administration Center.

According to the Minnesota Department of Health Thursday 9 people have tested positive for the virus in Anoka, Carver, Dakota, Hennepin, Olmsted, Ramsey and Stearns counties.

A total of 316 people have been tested in Minnesota.
