Pierz & Paynesville Football Headed to State Semis

Both the Pierz Pioneers (11-0) and the Paynesville Bulldogs (9-2) are headed to U.S. Bank Stadium in Minneapolis for the State High School football semifinals this week.

In Class AAA Pierz advanced by beating Annandale 60-12 last night at St. Cloud State. The Pioneers will face Rochester Lourdes (12-0) at 2 PM Saturday (11/17) afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium.

In Class AA Paynesville advanced by beating Pillager 52-14 Thursday night in Alexandria. The Bulldogs will face Caledonia (11-0) at 2 PM Thursday (11/15) afternoon at U.S. Bank Stadium.
