Great news for Minnesota Twins fans who don't live in the metro area (and this is actually also great news for Minnesota Twins fans who DO live in the metro area): the Northstar Commuter Rail is back for select Twins games this season.

All weekend games and weekday day games will have Northstar Commuter Rail service to and from Target Field.

After Two Years Away, Northstar Service is Back for Select Twins Games

A slow recovery from the COVID pandemic plus funding issues led to Metro Transit discontinuing dedicated Twins service in 2022. Fans hoping the service would return in 2023 were left disappointed.

2024 service is not for all Twins home games: service will be offered for day games during the week, and all weekend games.

The complete 2024 Northstar Commuter Rail service schedule for Twins games can be downloaded here.

This is Great For Outstate Twins Fans AND Metro Twins Fans

The obvious benefit is for outstate Twins fans who relied on the Northstar out of Big Lake, because even buying a couple rail tickets would save you money on gas and parking...not to mention the headache of driving in downtown Minneapolis.

I think this is also great for Twins fans in the suburbs who also don't want the hassle of driving in downtown Minneapolis, finding a parking spot, and then the forever wait of getting out of the parking garage.
