I hadn't been to a Minnesota Twins home opener since 2007, when Johan Santana pitched meh but the Twins held on to beat the Baltimore Orioles 6-4. Torii Hunter and Justin Morneau hit back-to-back homers at the Metrodome (RIP). I kinda missed the 'Dome yesterday (4/5/18).

It was COLD. It was WINDY. Kyle Gibson's hitless inning streak ended right away. Miguel Sanó reminded us that he can be a defensive liability at third base. The Mariners scored two runs in the first. The Twins couldn't do very much against a pitcher that received a visit from a bald eagle during the pregame National Anthem.

But three home runs later, the Twins beat the Mariners 4-2. As Fernando Rodney took an imaginary arrow out of his imaginary quill, my adventure was just beginning.
