Multi-Vehicle Crash Closes Eastbound I-94 at Monticello

MONTICELLO -- A multi-vehicle pileup has closed a portion of Interstate 94 between St. Cloud and the Twin Cities.

The Minnesota Department of Transportation says the crash at the Highway 241 exit in the St. Michael/Albertville area has prompted the closure.

Eastbound I-94 is now closed between Monticello and Rogers. You're urged to exit at Highway 25 in Monticello and follow the I-94 alternate route signs.

MnDOT says the road will be closed for several hours while crews clear the scene.

There's no word on the number of vehicles involved or whether there are any injuries.
