The Minnesota Twins have fired manager Paul Molitor after four seasons with the team following their 78-84 season.

The Twins went 305-343 with Molitor as manager, including last years's brief post season appearance. Last season Molitor was awarded the American League Manager of the Year honor.

Molitor has been offered a new role with the team in a baseball operations capacity.
