Minnesota Extends $100 Visa Gift Card Vaccine Reward Program
EXTENSION GRANTED
Minnesota just got an extension from Governor Tim Walz for the COVID-19 vaccine reward program.
The reward program, where a Minnesotan could get a $100 VISA card for getting vaccinated was supposed to come to an end, but now with the delta variant making it's way across the country, the Governor says the only way to fight back is through vaccination.
Minnesotans can register for the extended incentive to receive a $100 VISA gift card, through Sunday, August 22nd at 11:59 pm. (So don't push it. I'd hate for you to go through all the work of going through the process of getting your vaccination and missing out on your $100).
HOW TO MAKE AN APPOINTMENT
To make an appointment, you can go to the states Vaccine Connector, or you can call the MDH COVID HOTLINE AT 1.833.431.2053.
The vaccinations are available and free to anyone in Minnesota 12 years of age or older.
Once you sign up for your vaccination through the Vaccine Connector, a vaccine provider will contact you via email, phone or text.
If you've already been vaccinated, you should not sign up again through Vaccine Connector. This is only for people who have not yet been vaccinated.
Many people ask the question, What are my odds of catching Covid-19?" Trying to decide if vaccination is the best decision, or if they should take their chances and avoid getting the shot.
WHAT ARE MY CHANCES OF GETTING COVID-19?
I found this website that gives you an idea of what your chances might be of catching COVID 19. It was broke down like this:
Low Risk: Being in the same room as someone who has COVID-10, but remain 6 feet apart
Medium Risk: 10 minutes or more of close contact with someone who is symptomatic, or caring for someone that is symptomatic, but consistently using recommended precautions.
High Risk: Close contact with someone at home who has COVID 19, or caring for someone who has COVID without using recommended precautions.
