According to Google AI, there are 4,273,027 registered drivers in the state of Minnesota, that’s a whole lot of people. With that many people driving there are bound to be questions, concerns, even issues that will come up on a regular basis.

So, where do you turn? The most popular answer to that question is the Minnesota Department of Transportation. I mean we are talking about driving, the roads and transportation, so that would fit, right?

Well, not exactly.

Last week, the Minnesota Department of Transportation posted on their “X” account that they aren’t the first place to call for a lot of things.

Drivers Licenses, Tabs, and Titles

The place to call for these types of questions is Driver and Vehicle Services. There are many different types of services that fall under their umbrella. Find out more here.

Uh-oh. Somebody get a ticket?

We hope this doesn’t apply to you, but things do happen. If you get a ticket or a citation of some kind, the Department of Transportation is not the place for those either. You can find the Minnesota Judicial Branch here.

Is EZ Pass not so easy to find when you have a question?

If you need to address something with your EZ Pass account, you guessed it, MnDOT doesn’t handle those either. Your questions can be addressed at customerservice@ezpassmn.net.

Avoiding Construction Delays

Let’s face it, this is “road construction season”, and things can change quickly on the routes you regularly travel, and the Department of Transportation does handle these inquiries. It pays visit to this roadwork section that MnDOT has prepared.

Getting Ready For Winter

And even though we’re enjoying (or maybe not so much) the warmer weather, but to quote Game of Thrones, “winter is coming”. To stay on top of the road conditions, snowplow cameras, and highway cameras; bookmark this link

Hopefully this will help you to contact the correct department that will save you time in getting a resolution to the questions you have.
