A person familiar with the deal tells The Associated Press that third baseman Miguel Sanó and the Minnesota Twins avoided arbitration by agreeing to a $30 million, three-year contract.

The person spoke on condition of anonymity because the agreement had not been announced.

Minnesota reached one-year deals with outfielder Eddie Rosario at $7.75 million, left-hander Taylor Rogers at $4.45 million, outfielder Byron Buxton at $3,075,000, and right-handers Trevor May at $2,205,000 and Tyler Duffey at $1.2 million.
