Carly Pearce and Michael Ray are almost done planning their upcoming wedding, and his job will be easy — he just has to look nice and say yes!

"He just has to say yes," Pearce joked on a recent episode of The Talk. Ray is a hands-off groom for the most part and says his only concern is that he's "still invited the day of the wedding."

"We're pretty set," Pearce tells People of how it's going finalizing the details of the big day. "My mom and I are doing it just ourselves. It's actually been really good."

As she further tells CMTthe couple didn't want to book a wedding planner.

"I'm just very simple and never was the girl that dreamt of my wedding … I know it's kind of weird," Pearce explains. "I'm obviously enjoying it very much. I don’t get to see my mama very much anymore, and so this is kind of a way for us to have fun together because you miss your mom."

Pearce revealed earlier this year that she had help from her mother and her best friend in picking out the perfect wedding dress, and it was fairly quick. "It was the second one I ever tried on," the "Every Little Thing" hitmaker says. "After the dress, who cares about anything else?"

Ray and Pearce were nominated for New Male of the Year and New Female of the Year at the 2019 ACM Awards, respectively, and even presented an award to Dan + Shay together while flashing Pearce's engagement ring.

Las Vegas holds a special place in their hearts since it is where they met, on the 2017 ACM Awards red carpet.

"Earlier this week, the man of my dreams got down on one knee and asked me to be his wife," Pearce wrote on Instagram to announce their engagement, which she did a few days before Christmas in 2018. "All in one simple 'yes,' I said 'yes; to love, 'yes' to peace, 'yes' to faithfulness, 'yes' to respect, 'yes' to kindness, 'yes' to trust, 'yes' to patience and 'yes' to never settling. Michael, I would've married you the first night we hung out because I knew then you were the one."

It's not clear what date they have chosen for the big day, but we know Jake Owen will perform.
