Social distancing, home schooling, and spending time at home is becoming the new normal for area kids. The days can tend to run together when you aren't leaving home. The Kimball Fire and Rescue Department want to make sure that Kimball area children get a little dose of excitement when their birthday rolls around.

In a post on their Facebook page, the Kimball Fire and Rescue team is offering a new service to area kids with birthdays during this Stay At Home Order.

With all that has been going on we want to brighten some days by driving past your house with our lights and sirens on to wish your PreK-12th graders a happy birthday!

This is available to any kids living in the Kimball Fire District, and will take place around 6:30 PM on days we have a birthday!

If you live in the Kimball Fire District and want to set this up for your child, send a message to the Kimball Fire and Rescue Facebook page, and include your child's name, birthday, and address. Or you can set it up by calling Chief Dave Traurig at the fire hall, (320)398-2727, during regular business hours.

Thank you to all the first responders. In a time of uncertainty you are always there serving the community and we appreciate you more than you know.
