After months of speaking about her new man in her life, Kelly Clarkson is finally confirming what we all suspected: the identity of her mystery man. The 30-year-old pop-country crossover is indeed dating Nashville’s respected artist manager Brandon Blackstock, stepson of Clarkson’s pal and fellow music superstar, Reba McEntire.

The ‘Mr. Know It All’ singer and her new beau made their first public appearance as a couple during an industry event celebrating Blake Shelton and Miranda Lambert‘s No. 1 singles, ‘Drink on It’ and ‘Over You,’ respectively. Clarkson arrived sans makeup, but the singer didn’t mind posing for pictures with her new man. Blackstock is also Shelton’s manager, working alongside father Narvel Blackstock at the family-owned Starstruck Management.

“I would love to say that it had something to do with my work, but it doesn’t,” Clarkson admits, crediting her new beau with her slimmer figure. ”I have a boyfriend, and if I’m being completely honest, no one likes to be not toned when you are dating someone.”

With her toned physique and man on her arm, the singer is all smiles these days, but she does confess one concern about the budding relationship: “I’m too happy! He’s ruining my creativity!” jokes Clarkson, who has become known for her boy-bashing anthems. “I’m writing all this happy sh–! It’s killing me.”

“I love that I’m in a relationship right now. I want a life,” she gushes. “The past five years or so I’ve found my groove and my balance.”

Clarkson is currently sitting in the Top 40 on the country charts with ‘Mr. Know It All,’ her first solo country single. The Texas native can also be found providing mentoring for young hopefuls every Thursday night on ABC’s newest reality show, ‘Duets,’ alongside Sugarland‘s Jennifer Nettles.
