Though Jennifer Nettles maintains a jam-packed schedule year 'round, she's keeping what matters most at the forefront this holiday season. In an exclusive clip from her label, Big Machine Records, Nettles talks about the importance of her 4-year-old son Magnus and how special it is to celebrate the holidays with him.

“I have a son who’s almost four years old and for me it has become all about that," the country singer says. "I mean it’s always been about family and food and those things are usually the traditions that we really celebrate, but now getting to see the holiday through his eyes, getting to celebrate that tradition with him is pretty special for me.”

Unforgettable Country Christmas Traditions

Nettles has had plenty going on to keep her busy through the end of 2016. In between judging duties on American Supergroup, she filled the hostess' shoes for the seventh year on the annual CMA Country Christmas special at Nashville's Grand Ole Opry, where she also delivered a show-stopping opening number and performance of the "Little Dummer Boy" with Frozen and Broadway star Idina Menzel.

She also reprised her breakthrough role as Dolly Parton's mother, Avie Lee Owens, in the TV film Christmas of Many Colors, Circle of Love, the follow-up to 2015's Coat of Many Colors broadcast.

As if that wasn't enough activity, Nettles has been promoting her new Christmas album, To Celebrate Christmas, featuring holiday classics like "O Holy Night" and "The First Noel," in addition to Parton's song "Circle of Love" that also appears in the film. Along with her Christmas album, Nettles is currently promoting the new single, "Hey Heartbreak," off her album Playing With Fire.
