Have you ever had a moment in life where you thought to yourself, something is missing here. That's what residents and local were feeling and saying when a local 'landmark' went 'missing' one day. The good news is that the landmark is back where it belongs, on top of Deutschland Meats, off Highway 8 near the teapot in Lindstrom Minnesota.

The giant wiener/sausage went missing this summer from the top of Deutschland Meats in Lindstrom. While it wasn't a who-done-it caper, the owners of the Lindstrom meat market wanted to get it touched up and repainted, to keep it looking good on top of the building.

Looking back at Google Maps, you can see just how different the building looks, almost empty, without the big sausage resting on top.

The good news is that last in the last week and change the weiner is back on top of the building, and it looks as good as it ever has.

Thank you to everyone who came out and helped us celebrate our Wiener Erection Party to place the Wiener back up on the roof last weekend! Here are some pictures of that day!!

Foley has a big one too

It should be noted that Lindstrom isn't the only meat market in Minnesota with a big sausage/wiener outside of it. Foley's Grand Champion Meats put one up recently, the difference is that Foley's is on a 'fork' versus being on a roof.

Am I missing any other notable roadside attractions like what you'll see in Foley and Lindstrom?
