THE BEGINNING

Okay....so maybe I'm a little behind the times. I started listening and learning music from my parents Vinyl 33's and 45's. I continued that journey stopping at The CrossRoads Mall visiting MUSICLAND as much as I could when I was a kid.

MY LIFE CHANGED WITH CASSETTES

Then my life changed as I was introduced to cassette tapes. I can remember than Bryan Adams was one of my first cassettes, that I bought after seeing him live with Journey at a concert in the Twin Cities.

HERE COMES THE INDESTRUCTIBLE CD

Then....The CD's came while I was in college. Only ONE of our college stations had the new technology...but they did...and off we were...with CD's with the belief that they were indestructible. They'll never scratch...They'll never break. Well..I guess the creators never expected us to never put them back in their little jewel cases.

MP3.COM

And then...along came mp3.com. After that Itunes....and that's where I've pretty much stuck. I've stuck with it because it's the only way I know how to actually purchase a song, and be able to listen to it over and over and over. As a musician, that's how I learn popular songs. I hear them over and over...until I can play them.

GOODBYE TO ITUNES AS WE KNOW IT

The reason I mention this, is because I just learned today that Itunes may be ending TODAY. When I saw the headline, I was like..What?!?! I have a lot of money invested into itunes!!!!!

WHAT DO YOU RECOMMEND?

I'm sure there is some other service that will work for me...but what would you recommend? I want to control my playlist. If I want to listen to a song over and over and over and over...I want to be able to do it.  Itunes has been around for 18 years. They aren't going away, but they are breaking up itunes into different pieces. Maybe this will make it easier for me to find what I need.

Does anybody else listen to music the way I do? What service do you use? Did you even realize that the dinosaur Itunes still existed anyway?????
