NO INJURIES OR DEATHS REPORTED

There have been no reported injuries or deaths from February 2023 through September 2024.

Owners of these vehicles are expected to receive a letter in the mail regarding the issue sometime after they are sent out. Notifications are expected to be mailed on December 4th, 2024.

WHAT OWNERS NEED TO KNOW

If you are an owner of one of these vehicles and have concerns, you can call Honda Customer Service at 1.888.234.2138.

CLAIMS

The first claim came in on February 11th of 2023. On March 3, 2023, Honda received a market quality report on the issue and started to investigate. On April 17th, 2023, Honda elevated the priority of the report and continued to investigate the issue with the supplier.

Honda has had 145 warranty claims so far and plans on inspecting and replacing the high-pressure fuel pumps as necessary for their customers. The service and replacement will be free to customers.

The Safety recall says that one of the warnings drivers may recognize there is a fuel leak, would be the smell of fuel order while the vehicle idling or in motion.

REIMBURSEMENT FOR REPAIRS COMPLETED BEFORE THE RECALL

If a vehicle owner has paid to have these repairs completed at their own expense, they may be eligible for reimbursement.
