Haunted Hayride 90 Minutes From St. Cloud Goes Drive-Thru Style for 2020
If "pivot" isn't the word that defines 2020, I don't know what is.
"Pivoting" is exactly what The Abandoned Hayride in Chaska, Minnesota has decided to do for their event in 2020. Instead of canceling it outright, they have made the call to turn it into a drive-thru experience this fall.
Our guest’s safety is all we ever work on, discuss, and care about. Due to Covid19 and proximity concerns on a wagon, we simply felt it would not be safe to proceed as usual.
While sad not to have a second consecutive year of our hayride, which was described by the Haunt Finder as “totally reinventing the hayride”, we are excited for all the creatively scary plans we have for the drive thru.
Guests will stay in their cars from arrival to departure, and will even have access to drive-thru food, with the whole experience being just over 20 minutes long.
Because of this new way of operating for 2020 and capacity issues, tickets will be timed, and very limited. They will be going on sale the first week of August, and guests are encouraged to start planning ASAP as they are expecting them to go fast.
This is Minnesota's first drive-thru hayride experience that has been announced and is described as "an immersive horror experience while trapped in a car with your friends."
Tickets cost $15 per person and are only available online. Vehicles with 4X4 capability are encouraged, and no busses or limos are allowed.
If you want to up your experience, there is a VIP option that gives you unlimited entry, VIP parking, no waiting for the haunted drive-thru, plus two bonus attractions. Those bonus ones are "Abandoned" where you are left alone in the woods and "Trapped Possession" which includes 6 rooms of terror. Tickets for that are $69 online or $74 at the door.
