Habitat for Humanity ReStore to Begin Year-Round Electronics Recycling Program [AUDIO]
ST. CLOUD – For those of you wondering where to get rid of old, unwanted electronics, the Habitat for Humanity ReStore in St. Cloud has a solution.
They’ve recently begun accepting all types of electronics, from televisions to phones to vacuum cleaners, in a push toward eco-friendly recycling practices.
Elizabeth Ferguson says, since the program kicked off last week, community donating has been through the roof.
Ferguson says there was a bit of confusion when the program began, as people thought it would only be going on for a limited time during the holiday season.
In truth, Ferguson says, you can bring in your old stuff all year round. the electronics will be taken by truck to several environmentally-sound recycling centers in Illinois.
You can drop off your things at their shopfront at 2801 West St. Germain in St. Cloud Wednesday through Saturday, 10:00 AM-6:00 PM.
