Gov. Dayton Fights Mining In Boundary Waters

Gov. Mark Dayton has written a letter, opposing a proposed copper-nickel mine near the Boundary Waters Canoe Area in northern Minnesota.

Twin Metals wants to build the copper-nickel-precious metals mine near Ely in northeast Minnesota. Dayton has directly opposed any new mining agreements on state lands so close to the Boundary Waters.
