When you see something at Sam's Club that could be the best thing since sliced bread, you have to take one for the team, buy it, and try it, right? Well, if you love Cheez-It's AND you love pizza, you can finally have them both at the same time.

Sam's Club has three varieties of Cheez-It Pizza. They include:

  • Cheddar Jack Supreme
  • Italian Four Cheese
  • Original Pepperoni

CHEEZ-IT FROZEN PIZZAS

The Cheez-It pizzas are sort of like a thin crust Cheez-It crust. The directions say that you should bake the pizza right on the center rack at 450°F for 8 to 10 minutes.

It was recommended to my boyfriend that the pizzas were ALOT better cooked at 8 minutes than 10, so that was our goal for the evening. To make sure we didn't cook them past the 8-minute mark.

TASTE TEST

We tried two of the three pizzas. We have yet to make the Cheddar Jack Supreme, but we thought we'd give you our thoughts on the other two.

First of all, let's put this in perspective. We are comparing these pizzas to frozen pizzas because inevitably, that's exactly what they are.

OUR DILEMMA

We DID end up cooking them a little bit longer than what we expected, so we both agreed that these pizza's would have been better cooked at 8 minutes exactly. We were probably either a touch over, or needed less time in the oven we used, because although we didn't burn the pizza's the crust was pretty dark. It would have tasted better if it was just a little less dark.

RESULTS

You can definitely taste the Cheez-It crust.  That being said, the pizza's are quite salty, and varied from about 320-340 calories for a 1/4 pizza. The crust was crispy, which was a big plus.

Compared to other frozen pizzas, it was satisfying. I don't know that I would be tempted to buy it over other frozen brands, but the idea of eating a Cheez-It for the crust was definitely enough to want to at least try it.

I would say I liked the pepperoni better than the cheese, but honestly, both were quite flavorful.

I am still looking forward to trying the remaining pizza, but it is in my boyfriend's freezer, not mine, so we'll have to see if the pizza survives through the week until next Saturday night. That's our taste testing night.

OVERALL

Overall, I think that it would be worth it for you to try these pizzas. Just keep in mind that you need to cook them directly on the center rack, and cook them at 450 for NO MORE than 8 minutes for the best results.
