Fire Danger ‘Very High’ Across Central Minnesota
More than a dozen wildfires have been reported in Minnesota since Wednesday, and the Minnesota DNR says that fire danger across Central Minnesota remains 'very high' this weekend.
Burning permits are currently required state-wide. Burning restrictions are in effect for Anoka, Chisago, Hennepin, Isanti, Ramsey and Washington Counties.
The DNR advises anyone doing burning to keep burn piles small, have a water supply nearby, and stay with the fire until it is completely out. If the fire escapes, the homeowner is responsible for the damage and suppression costs.
