What is Farm Aid?
According to the Farm Aid website, since 1985 "Farm Aid works year-round to build a system of agriculture that values family farmers, good food, soil and water, and strong communities. Our annual music and food festival celebrates farmers, eaters, and music coming together for change."
The first Farm Aid concert, held in 1985, was organized by Willie, John Mellencamp, and Neil Young and raised $7 million for farmer families that year, and since then the concerts have kept coming, creating more awareness about family farms in America.

I married into a farming family here in Central Minnesota, and I now know firsthand just how much work goes into maintaining a farm, so a concert like this is coming to Minnesota just makes it that much more special.
