Free Interactive Poultry Program Offers Egg-citing Fun For Kids
Baby chicks are about to steal the spotlight at Great River Regional Library.
Families are invited to a free hands-on farm experience where kids can see, learn about, and even gently hold baby chicks. It's a rare chance to get up close to some of the poultry raised right here in Minnesota.
WHAT'S HAPPENING AT GRRL
If your kids love animals, this upcoming program at Great River Regional Library may be worth adding to your summer calendar.
Poultry: A Hands-On Farm Experience for Kids will bring the farm to the library thanks to Shane Smeby of Crow River Quail Farm near Rockford.
During this interactive presentation, children will have the opportunity to see baby chicks up close and even gently hold them while learning about these fascinating birds.
The program will also feature a display of eggs from several different types of poultry commonly raised in our region, including chicken, duck, quail, turkey, and even emu.
