Discover A Spectacular Planet Parade This Friday
PLANETARY PARADE
At this point in my life, I should own a telescope. For all the stargazing I would like to do, a telescope really would help a lot! Especially this Friday when we have another celestial event happening. We will have a Planet Parade.
IT'S NOT UNCOMMON
This might sound like a repeat of what happened in January, but it's slightly different. In January, six planets appeared to have lined up in the sky. But this Friday, February 28th, there will be 7.

JUST AFTER SUNSET
Just after sunset on Friday the 28th, Mercury, Venus, Mars, Jupiter, Saturn, Uranus, and Neptune will all be aligned, and if you have a telescope, you should be able to view all of them.
WHAT YOU CAN SEE WITH THE NAKED EYE
The planets you should be able to spot without a telescope on Friday, include Mercury, Venus, Jupiter, and Mars. Do you have binoculars? Binoculars or a telescope will help you see the full planet parade.
SNEAKY SATURN
The planet that will be the hardest to view, according to Starwalk, is going to be Saturn. Saturn is going to be very low in the sky, about 10 degrees above the horizon, so make sure that you are looking in the right place. It will also have the shortest window of time for viewing.
PLUTO NO PLUTO
What about Pluto? I know a lot of us grew up thinking that Pluto was a planet, and now we call it a dwarf planet. Regardless, I still want to know if it lines up too! Whether it's a rock, a moon, or whatever, it's still our Pluto!
STAR WALK 2 APP
Starwalk.com says you can use their app 'Star Walk 2's 'Time Machine' feature, to see how the planets will look from your exact location on Friday.
You can also tap on the 'Planet Walk' feature and point your phone toward the sky to match the image on your phone with the actual sky! That's pretty cool.
WHERE WILL EACH PLANET BE?
From highest to lowest, Mars will be the highest in the sky, followed by Jupiter, Uranus, Venus, Neptune, Mercury, and Saturn. Saturn will be the most difficult to see because it will be so close to the sun.
