Getting your State Fair food fix just got a whole lot easier. Sweet Matha's Cookies won't be available by the bucket this year, but they can be made fresh in your own oven after you pick them up in the freezer section of Coborn's.

I was shopping at the Sauk Rapids Coborn's location and saw the frozen cookie dough in an end cap of the freezer section. Two bags for $11 was the special going on, which really isn't too bad of a price for about 15 cookies. It's still cheaper than buying them at the fair. Plus there are four different varieties to choose from.

Yes, you read that right. Sweet Martha is branching out to more than just the standard chocolate chip cookie.

The four flavors I found at Coborn's were:

  • Original Chocolate Chip
  • Oatmeal Chocolate Chip
  • Gourmet Chocolate Chunk
  • Double Peanut Butter Chocolate Chip

No word on whatever happened to just the single peanut butter chocolate chip. They must not want to talk about that one.

I'm not sure if these are going to be a permanent fixture in the freezer section. Things that are displayed in end caps of aisles are kind of a gamble, so get your Sweet Martha's cookies while you can. The good news is that the original variety is a staple in Target stores so we can always fall back on that.
