A family in Central Minnesota is aiming to spread love and light amidst a dark time.

The Moorefield family from Rice lost their son Isaiah back in 2018, and since then has been working to honor him and his light that was lost.

Our family lost a very important member of our family, my son Isaiah, to depression by suicide July 2018. "Be the light" has been an important message we have been advocating since then. With COVID-19 our family wanted to do more with this message. So we took a hobby of making sun catchers to spread the message of light and turned into a business, with the intent of spreading as much light as possible.

The family's new business, Eternal Light, has partnered with the St. Cloud Hospital to spread some light to those battling COVID-19. For every suncatcher sold, they will be donating one to a hospitalized patient battling COVID-19. The staff and patients can have rainbows of light shining down the rooms and halls, letting them know the community is supporting them.

This just launched on November 23rd, and the goal is to have a suncatcher in every COVID patient's room, and then expand out locally in Central Minnesota.

Rachel Moorefield, the mother of the family, wrote saying:

This mission allows the community as a whole, including myself, do something in a time when we all feel so helpless. This mission allows my family to spend time together, talking about Isaiah, and continuing to share his light and message to others. It allows my family to heal, while trying to help others.

The entire family is involved with this project, including Rachel, her husband Steve, and daughters Bella (11), and Myley (9).

If you would like to help Eternal Rainbows meet their goal of helping those battling COVID-19, you can purchase a suncatcher on their website.
