Several people on social media have been wondering what the holidays will look like this year. Many speculators questioned whether the longstanding tradition of sitting on Santa's lap would be possible this year during a global pandemic.

Cabela's has answered our questions. They'll be opening Santa's Wonderland for the holiday season starting Sunday, November 7 at 5 p.m.. It's a beautifully decorated area where you can visit with Santa, and get a free photo.

Santa will be making his grand entrance Sunday with an outdoor tailgating event with giveaways, hot cocoa and more.

It'll run slightly different this year because of COVID-19. Instead of just showing up, you'll need to make a free reservation.

You can reserve your spot online. Spots are limited because the store wants to make sure they're able to maintain social distancing. There will also be a temperature screening once you get there for all of their guests and employees.

Once you and your family are ready to talk to the 'big guy', he'll be ready for you with an acrylic barrier in place, according to Cabela's website. It'll be a 'contactless Claus visit'.

The store will also have opportunities for you to sanitize your hands. The 'Santa's Sanitation Squad' will also make sure surfaces are cleaned between each family's visit with Santa.

Face coverings will be required per the Minnesota Department of Health's guidelines.

Cabela's closest location to St. Cloud is 39 miles away in Rogers. They're located at 20200 Rogers Drive, Rogers MN, 55374.
